With an ever increasing number of cars on the road, and rising amount of pollutants in large Iranian cities such as Tehran - Iran’s Department of Environment has made the installment of catalytic converters mandatory on all new cars. In order to address this growing need, Fouman Part Company started its operations in 2004 with the slogan: “Clean air for everyone”.

After the elimination of lead from the nation's fuel system (which would have prevented catalytic converters from functioning properly), the management at Fouman Chimie Industrial Group established Fouman Part in order to produce catalytic converters.

The company, since its inception, has produced catalytic converters for many of the locally manufactured automobiles such as: Peugeot 405, Peugeot Pars and Samand, and today is in the process of producing converters for other locally manufactured cars such as: Pride, Peugeot 206, Peugeot RD, Nissan, Mazda and Proton.

The company hopes to continue these efforts in order to bring about a cleaner, healthier air for the nation’s large and growing cities.
